RESUME
Granville Wyche Burgess is author of the teleplay for "Trifles," the
pilot episode of the new AMERICAN VOICES television series co-produced
with WMHT-TV in Albany, "The Turtle Stone" on NJN-TV, an episode for "Tales
From The Darkside" (co-written with Allen Coulter), and installments as
staff writer for the soap opera "Capitol." His plays include "The Freak,"
"Dusky Sally," and "Play It As It Lies," as well as the book for the musical
"Conrack" (Ford's Theatre) and book/music/lyric for "Listen To The Land"(Irongate
Theatre, Philadelphia). His writings for children include the Bicentennial
Trilogy of musicals performed on The Mall in Washington, DC. He is the
recipient of numerous awards, including an EMMY nomination and grants
from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for
the Humanities.
